TEAMTrek
TEAMTrek provides an opportunity to serve as an intern while being mentored by an experienced missionary. The Trekker invests two years working on a ministry team under the supervision of a veteran missionary-coach. Trekkers will engage in actual ministry while learning both language and culture, growing in their cross-cultural ministry skills, and developing personal spiritual disciplines.
We want to pray and walk with you…
First and foremost, we want to listen as you share your journey.
We want to pray with and for you. And we want to connect you to opportunities to serve that you may never have imagined existed.
As you seek His will for you, we want to develop a relationship with you and rejoice at how the Lord may be leading you to get involved in his mission.

The Merauke Community Center Papua, Indonesia
The Indonesian government has enabled the homesteading of its largest island, Papua, by largely Muslim “trans-migrants” from other over-populated cities.
This influx of non-native people’s has provided a unique opportunity for the Papuan Church to relationally demonstrate the Body of Christ to those who have never experienced it. A community center in Merauke, a city of 72,000 on Papua’s southeastern coast, has begun to provide relationship building, HIV/AIDS prevention training, English teaching, computer and business skills training. These activities provide an open door for transplanted Muslims to live in a positive daily relationship with vibrant followers of Christ.
This may be the opportunity to let your life point a Muslim “trans-migrant” to Jesus Christ.

Turkey
With seventy-two million Muslims, and just three thousand Christians, this ministry is located in one of the largest unreached nations in the world. Despite the barriers to Christianity, some local people are counting the cost and coming to Christ and identifying themselves with the church. TEAM's strategy in this ministry is to provide a permanent place of worship for both expat and national congregations, to nurture believers, and to share the gospel with the unreached. TEAM workers have a presence in the community through a café and tourist center, and reach nationals through ESL clubs. A camp for third culture kids has the potential to grow into a long-term camping and retreat ministry that could serve youth from national congregations.

Mexico
The Baja peninsula is a booming tourist destination. Thriving hotels, resorts, restaurants and nightclubs offer secure employment for Mexicans facing a changing economy. As workers migrate to Baja, they sever family ties, traditions, and values. Inexpensive drugs and alcohol dull the pain of loneliness for a time but open the door to the deeper problems of abuse, divorce, and suicide. TEAM missionaries are building solid churches in the midst of the despair of Baja's tourist towns, such as in the capital of Baja, La Paz, and in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. TEAM missionaries are also developing a network of cell churches on the mainland of Mexico, in Guadalajara.

Japan
Bringing the light of Christ to an advanced society in spiritual need Japan is a culturally and technologically advanced nation that appears to be upwardly evolving, but remains a land of spiritual darkness. The hopelessness of the polytheistic religion of Shinto and the non-theistic philosophies of Buddhism have consistently resisted the light of the Gospel and thwarted the growth of Christianity. It has instead created an atmosphere of despair evidenced by one of the highest suicide rates in the developed world, an alarming level of teen sexual activity, and an epidemic of social withdrawal syndrome.
This country, where only .5% of the population is Christian, needs missionaries to preach the gospel alongside their Japanese brothers and sisters in Christ. We want to connect with you about the purposes God might have for you together with us in Japan for the building up of His church, the glorification of His name, and the salvation of needy souls.
