When I was first approached about serving in France I scoffed at the idea but after research I became convinced that France truly is one of the least evangelized countries of the world as so many reports have indeed claimed.
My neighbor’s granddaughter (age 15) popped by during lunch today and noticed a few wall crosses I have displayed. She, not I, initiated a conversation about God. I just about fell out of my chair!
We talked for an hour about the difference between ‘religion’ and a ‘relationship’ with Jesus. I shared about how after submitting my life to Christ he delivered me from 15 years of alcoholism. I told her about the daily joy and guidance I get from reading the Bible.
I gave her a devotional I had in French and suggested she look over it and if she would like to do so – we could meet regularly and start exploring the Bible together. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will motivate her to seek. She lives an hour away but visits her grandmother often.”
