EXPLORE Workshop
Helping You Discover Cross-Cultural Ministry...

EXPLORE is an intensive, practical, two and one-half day program to help you:
  • Discover how you might fit in God’s world-wide plan to reach others with the Good News of Jesus
  • Identify concrete steps in the process of getting from here to there
Is EXPLORE Workshop for you?

The workshop is designed for people who:

  • Know Christ as Savior and are walking with Him, and who have a desire to share Him with others
  • Actively minister in their local church
  • Are open to God’s calling to cross-cultural ministry
  • Pray and give for missionary endeavors and lost people around the globe
  • Sense God’s calling on their lives and are asking, “What would I do next?”
What happens at the workshop?
During the sessions the staff will lead participants to evaluate themselves regarding missionary requirements in the areas of spiritual life, family responsibilities, physical and emotional health, communication skills, personal achievements, work experience, values, and finances. Completion of a health and mental health history questionnaire, a communication style inventory, and an intercultural skills inventory will be debriefed with each participant. You will journal on each topic in your notebook and summarize findings, out of which you will set goals and next steps. Each workshop is limited to 22 participants, and the final activity of the workshop will be a personal interview with an EXPLORE staff member to help you synthesize what you have learned, verbalize feelings and goals related to possible missionary service, and establish action steps.
